Workshop participants pay individually for all social event activities unless otherwise specified. Cost is listed when there is a set price for an event.

Sunday, June 3
Dinner & Drinks at the Iron Horse, 6:00 pm

Monday, June 4
Grocery store run, 5:00 pm

photo of a grocery store produce sectionFor those who need to purchase food and other supplies for the duration of the workshop, we will provide transportation to the local grocery store. Van departs the hotel at 5:00pm.

Tuesday, June 5
WV Regional History Center guided tour, 4:00 pm

photo of regional books at the West Virginia history centerThe West Virginia Regional History Center is located on the sixth floor of the Downtown library and houses the rare book and West Virginia and Regional History Collections. Our tour will begin at 4:00 pm and last one hour. We will head up to the History Center as a group immediately following our final session of the day. No cost to participants.

Thursday, June 7
Happy hour visit to Forks of Cheat winery, 4:00 pm

photo of bottles of wine from Forks of Cheat wineryWe will depart for Forks of Cheat Winery at 4:00 pm for an evening of revelry, immediately following our final session of the day. Transportation will be provided. We will return to the hotel by 6:00 pm. Cost is $5 and participants pay individually.

Friday, June 8
Happy Hour at Starpoint Arcade and Pub, 5:00 pm

Starport arcade logoStarport is an arcade pub with pinball machines and vintage Arcade games from the 1980’s. Friday happy hour (5 – 7 pm) includes food and drink specials and free play for all games. Participants pay individually.

Saturday, June 9
Fallingwater Tour and Dinner, all day

We will stop for brunch at Bittersweet Cafe and dinner and drinks at Aqueous, but participants pay individually for these meals. The Aqueous dinner is our one formal meal, so we will be taking up a collection from faculty to cover the cost for graduate students attending the workshop.

Depart Morgantown: 10:30 am

Brunch at Bittersweet Cafe, Farmington, PA: 11:30 am

Travel Time: 5 minutes

Ohiopyle State Park: 1:00 pm

Travel Time: 10 minutes

Fallingwater Tour: 3:00 pm (check-in at 2:30 pm)

Travel Time: 25 minutes

Drinks & Dinner at Aqueous: 6:00 pm

Return to Morgantown: 9:00 pm

Monday, June 11
K-Camp Cookout at Dorsey’s Knob Park, 5:00 pm

Wednesday, June 13
Zip-line Canopy Tour, 5:00 pm

photo of a boy zip lining Get a spectacular view of the West Virginia valley from above on a Zip-line Canopy Tour through WVU Adventure! The tour begins at 6:00 pm (after a 5:30 introduction) and concludes 8:30-9:00 pm. Cost is $30 and participants pay individually.

Thursday, June 14
Happy Hour at Montmartre, 5:00 pm
